Lara Logan
Lara Logan, born 29/03/71, is an South African television journalist and war reporter. She was a CBS News correspondent from 2002 until 2018.60 Minutes executive producer Jeff Fager described her factually incorrect, politcally biased story on 2012 Benghazi as "the most regrettable mistake I've made in the last 10 years." In the year 2019 she joined the Sinclair Broadcast Group, a conservative media company. [4] On January 2020 she was a part of Fox Nation. Fox News offers a subscription-based streaming service. She told Fox News in March 2022 that they had been "dumped". Logan did her schooling as a reporter at the Sunday Tribune, Durban (1988-1989) and then the Daily News (1990-1992). She joined Reuters Television Africa in 1992 as a senior producer. After four years, she decided to move into freelance journalism. She was appointed as an editor/reporter, reporter and editor/producer at Fox/SKY, Fox/SKY and CBS News, ABC News (in London), NBC and the European Broadcasting Union. Reporting on events such as the bombings that took place in 1998 at the United States Embassy in Nairobi and Tanzania and the ongoing conflict in Northern Ireland and the Kosovo war, she was employed by CNN.
